Foreign Policy for America is proud to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris to be the next President of the United States. 

For the last three and a half years, Vice President Harris stood side by side with President Biden as they led the recovery from COVID and the global economic recession, rebuilt and expanded U.S. alliances, made historic investments in the clean energy transition, and rallied the world to stand up to Vladimir Putin. 

She has been a leading figure in American diplomacy. Traveling on behalf of President Biden, Vice President Harris has skillfully represented the United States in global forums like the annual meeting of the Association of Southeast Nations (ASEAN), the Munich Security Conference, and the COP28 climate conference. In all, she has met with more than 150 world leaders during her time as VP.  

At crucial moments, she played a powerful role. As part of the Biden Administration’s efforts to inject stability into the U.S.-China relationship, she met with China’s Xi Jinping and dozens of leaders across the Indo-Pacific to deepen security ties, expand economic opportunities for American businesses, and manage competition with China. She has met several times with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and traveled to Bucharest, Romania to reinforce the U.S. commitment to Ukraine, to NATO, and to Europe’s security. In the wake of the US-Africa Summit in Washington, Vice President Harris traveled to Ghana, Tanzania, and Zambia, recognizing the central role Sub-Saharan Africa and its rapidly expanding markets will play in our future.  

We have also seen Kamala Harris’ compelling vision for U.S. leadership in the world over the past three and a half years. From delivering new aid to Haiti to championing the inclusion of women and girls, and consistently making the case for democracy, the Vice President has spotlighted the powerful impact the U.S. can have when we recognize that, in an ever-shrinking world, our fates are intertwined. We are particularly grateful for her clear-eyed focus on the humanitarian crises in Gaza and Sudan and the urgent need to end those conflicts.
