Foreign Policy for America Endorses Mandela Barnes for Senate (WI)

Lt. Governor of Wisconsin endorsed by nonpartisan Foreign Policy for America

WASHINGTON D.C. — Foreign Policy for America announced today its endorsement of Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes to the United States Senate for Wisconsin.

“Mandela Barnes’ experience in bringing people together to solve problems is exactly what we need in the United States Senate,” said Andrew Albertson, Executive Director of Foreign Policy for America. “He’ll bring new energy and vision to the fight against climate change, and he’ll be a champion for clean energy jobs for Wisconsin families. We are incredibly proud to endorse him today.”

Mandela has served Wisconsin as Lt. Governor, the State Assembly, and as a community activist. The son of a public school teacher and United Auto Worker, Mandela’s roots in public service inspired him to fight for social justice issues in Milwaukee and eventually run for the State Assembly. Since being elected Lt. Governor, Mandela has served as Chair of Governor Tony Ever’s Task Force on Climate Change. On the Task Force, Mandela brought together government officials, tribal officials, business leaders, youth activists, and entrepreneurs to find real solutions to combat climate change at the local level. Mandela is running to represent Wisconsin families in the United States Senate and be a champion for combatting climate change.
