Abigail Spanberger served as a federal law enforcement officer working narcotics and money laundering cases and later as a case officer with the Central Intelligence Agency. As a CIA officer, she worked overseas on matters of national security from nuclear nonproliferation to intelligence gathering on terrorism. As a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Spanberger has worked to strengthen America’s infrastructure for diplomacy, and has been a strong voice for restoring America’s standing in the world and reasserting Congress’ role in authorizing the use of military force.
