Andy Kim was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2018. Prior to entering Congress, Andy served in a variety of foreign policy focused positions, including at the State Department, USAID, the National Security Council, and as a civilian advisor in Afghanistan. In the 118th Congress, Andy serves on the Armed Services Committee, the Foreign Affairs Committee, and the Select Committee on Strategic Competition between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party. He is a dedicated advocate for the use of diplomacy and dialogue in navigating the U.S. relationship with China, pursuing nuclear nonproliferation, and maintaining peace and stability in key conflict zones.
